The Most Challenging Gran Fondo in the States!

Jeremiah Bishop nicknamed his favorite training route "The Alpine Loop" after the glorious mountain top meadows, winding climbs and hillside farms reminiscent of the Austrian, German and Swiss settings where he has competed. Now this magnificent scenery is the backdrop for the most challenging and adventurous Gran Fondo in the United States. The route begins in Harrisonburg, Virginia and covers approximately 104 miles featuring over 11,000 feet of climbing, including an incredible dirt climb up the Dark Side of Reddish Knob! Visit to learn more.

Something Fun for Everyone!

The Shenandoah Mountain Adventure and Valley View Challenge options encourage and challenge cyclists of all abilities to join in the festivities of the Gran Fondo. At 75 and 35 miles, these courses showcase the ideal scenery that make Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Virginia and Pendleton County, West Virginia famed riding destinations. Not sure which ride is for you? Visit to learn more, including any changes in store for the 2013 event.
