New years resolutions are like belly buttons, just about everyone has one and they come in 2 types. Some people set a conceptual goal such as being more kind, loving more, being happy...etc.... and some people set a concrete goal like losing 50 lbs. or running a 5K in 20 minutes. This year I have decided that its best hedge my bets and just to do both.
Much like a new year, the rising and the setting of the sun is a very reflective time for me and its always been something I enjoy witnessing. I love to be outdoors when the sun starts and ends our day, whether its on the river or in the mountains. Few things I enjoy more than the dawn and dusk spectrum in the sky. So for 2015 I want to be there for more sunrises and sunsets. My goal is to see the colors in as many new places as possible.
On a quantitative level, I would like to ride my bike faster and further then I have before this year. I want to ride it every day I can for fitness, for fun, and to get where I need to go. I have decided to set a goal of 10,000 miles on the bike in 2015. And to help me achieve this I have decided to take it one step further by resolving to drive less than 5,000 in my truck in 2015.
